Familia Cassone
Bodega Familia Cassone was founded in 1998 by Eduardo Cassone, his wife Florencia and his three sons, heirs of the entrepreneurial spirit of Roberto Cassone, who started this wine venture in Mendoza during the 1950’s, after his family had emigrated from Piemont (Italy) following World War I. As the name suggests, Familia Cassone is a family-owned and family-operated winery to the core, created as the result of passion for wine-making and family tradition.
Familia Cassone winery is located in Mayor Drummond, Luján de Cuyo in the southwest part of Mendoza. This area is framed by the Andes range, with its majestic Mount Acongagua and is considered the best vine-growing zone in Argentina. The growing conditions are continental and benefit from hot and dry summers, plenty of sunshine, low rainfall and limited wind presence. Moreover, the high elevation, ranging from 3,200 to 3,600 ft, ensures proper poliphenolic maturation with high sugar concentration and antocians and limited presence of pest and bacteria, so that the vines are naturally organic.
Familia Cassone applies all its resources to the production of wines with personality and unique characteristics. Years of experience, skill and care are matched by 100-year old vines, extraordinary vineyard location and a focus on quality rather than quantity.
