Tasting Notes

Alhambra is the entry-level range of wines from Spadafora: young wines, expressive of their varietals, with a sense of place and well-priced. Alhambra takes its name from the famous Alhambra palace near Granada (Spain) which is where a branch of the Spadafora family is believed to have originated (this Spanish influence is due to the Spanish domination over Sicily which lasted almost five centuries.

Alhmabra Syrah is made with 100% organic Syrah grapes, sourced from three different plots, at different altitudes and exposures in order to impart fresh fruit aromas built on a good structure.

Ruby red in color, Alhambra Syrah offers a captivating bouquet of berry fruits on the nose. Excessive extraction is avoided during vinification so the tannins are smooth and balanced, perfect for this kind of wine that is meant for immediate enjoyment, perhaps even chilled. It will pair beautifully with white meat dishes, roasts and mild cheeses.
