Linea I Poderi – Refosco DOC ‘P34′

label image label image

Tasting Notes

This indigenous variety is typical and widespread in all of north-eastern Italy. Austere, elegant and authentic, refosco has a “rustic” taste of tannin which is subdued with the refining process (2-3 months in 300-lt barrels). The bouquet presents notes of red-berried fruit, particularly cherry. Its uniqueness and territoriality make it an ideal partner for the more traditional cuisine of this area, such as roasted sausages, pork shank and semi-aged cheeses.
