Tasting Notes

The prince of elegance among red-grape varieties, Pinot Noir has found an ideal home in Friuli. Borgo Magredo Pinot Noir is sourced from estate-owned vineyards that are 20 to 25 years old. Trained in the Guyot method, these vines produce no more than 55 tons of grapes per hectare, so to obtain fruit of the highest quality. The gravel, pebbly soil and the unique microclimate also contribute to the aromas, fragrance and flavors.

Typical light red-hued color, Borgo Magredo Pinot Noir is a pleasant wine with vibrant aromas of small red berries, cherries and wild violets. Soft and round with a good balance that will pair beautifully with poultry dishes, grilled tuna or salmon and fish stews.

Starting with the 2017 vintage (released in March 2018), Borgo Magredo Pinot Noir features a stylish, new bottle.
