Tasting Notes

Formerly known as Tocai Friulano, Friulano is Friuli’s most representative varietal.

Borgo Magredo Friulano, made with 100% estate-owned grapes vinified in stainless steel, gives off intense aromas of meadow flowers, almonds and white pepper. Good structure in the mouth with a good balance between the fruity and the typical minerality. A pleasant aftertaste suggesting aromatic herbs and the typical almonsd flavor. Often served as an aperitif, Friulano pairs extremely well with cold-cuts (try Prosciutto San Daniele), fresh, fatty cheeses, and it is excellent when served with fish, risotto and omelettes.
