Tasting Notes

‘Schietto’ is a line of single-varietal wines. The word means ‘sincere, straightforward’ and Francesco Spadafora aims at bringing through the best possible representation of each varietal

The ‘Schietto’ Cabernet Sauvignon is made with 100% organic grapes. The first vintage ever produced was 1997 after the Francesco Spadafora had spent a period in France during harvest and winemaking with a personal friend and winemaker in Bordeaux. Sharing ideas, impressions and tecniques was important for developing his own practice on the grape.

Purple red in color, Schietto Cabernet has a clear, intense bouquet of black fruit, leather and tobacco. Full-bodied with well-structured yet soft tannins present on the palate and into the finish. Pair with roasted meats and aged cheeses.
