Catarratto Inzolia Terre Siciliane IGP ‘Alhambra’

Tasting Notes
Alhambra is the entry-level range of wines from Spadafora: young wines, expressive of their varietals, with a sense of place and well-priced. Alhambra takes its name from the famous Alhambra palace near Granada (Spain) which is where a branch of the Spadafora family is believed to have originated (this Spanish influence is due to the Spanish domination over Sicily which lasted almost five centuries.
Simply called “Alhambra Bianco“, this is an all-Sicilian white blend of 50% Catarratto and 50% Inzolia, 100% certified organic. The result is a Sicilian wine to the core. The grapes are processed and vinified separately in concrete vats then blended in November.
Alhambra Bianco is rich, fruity nose with a slender mouthfeel, followed by a bright citrus note at the finish. It’s an easy-going wine to enjoy with appetizers, finger foods and all types of seafood.
