Aglianico del Vulture DOC ‘Kamai’

Tasting Notes

‘Kamai’ is the winery’s top selection made from 100% organically grown, old-vine Aglianico grapes. A small production of only 3,000 bottles. The hot climate and rich ancient volcanic and clay soils of the area produce a deeply-colored, structured wine with subtle nuances given by oak aging. The wine opens to extremely dark tones of blackberry, prune, plum and exotic spice. The palate offers firm yet velvety tannins and succulent Morello cherry and cassis layered with notes of chocolate, licorice, mint and vanilla. A very clean, long sense of persistency.

Enjoy with pastas with rich sauces and with hearty meat dishes, roasts, bbq and braised meat.
