006 Riverside Estate Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes
Bodega Aniello ‘006’ Pinot Noir is made with 100% estate-owned, sustainably-farmed grapes. The name 006 derives from the cadastral nomenclature of the estate: one of the few vineyards in Argentina (if not the only) located next to an actual flowing river. Indeed, the image on the label depicts all of the elements of the varied alluvial-type soils that characterize the vineyard.
Attractive pale ruby color. With lovely aromas of red fruit such as cranberry and strawberry, along with some hints of roses and earthy minerals. Round tannins and an enhanced minerality, with a beautiful structure and finish. Pinot noir is a very versatile food-pairing wine that can be enjoyed with fish like salmon or tuna as well as poultry such as duck or turkey.
Bodega Aniello is a young project started in 2010 in the Mainque district of the Upper Rio Negro Valley region of Patagonia. the 006 property was the first acquired, followed by another property purchased more recently for a total of 55 hectares. The first commercial vintage was 2013 but the wines are already receiving great accolades.
